Title 1 Parent Involvement Policy
Desert Hills High School
A strong partnership between the school and home is essential if a quality educational program is to be provided to all students. Desert Hills High School is dedicated to the philosophy that parent involvement is integral to the success of each student. For this reason, parents are actively recruited as our partners for success. The parent involvement policy is developed during the Title I advisory meeting, with parents, for the following year.
Parents have the right to be involved in all stages of planning, review and improvement of the parent involvement plan, and school staff and administrators work to ensure that parents are fully informed and involved in the process. In the fall of each school year, a Title 1/Targeted Assistance meeting is held to introduce parents to Desert Hills High School and its Targeted Assistance program, which provides remedial services to students. Parents are informed of this meeting, as well as other opportunities to be involved in school planning, and are encouraged and invited to attend.
